The Tribute In Light Memorial is seen ever year on the anniversary of September 11 over the New York sky. The World Trade Center first opened in 1970. The two towers stood 1,368 and 1,362 feet high and had 110 stories. On September 11, 2001, the World Trade Center was destroyed by terrorists killing nearly 3,000 people. On March 11, 2002, the Tribute In Light Memorial was first displayed for 30 nights to honor the souls that were lost.
